In addition, after the release of the new version of the standard, the certificate obtained based on the old version of the standard must complete the certificate renewal before the implementation date of the new version of the standard, otherwise the certificate will be suspended or revoked.
On June 15, 2022, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) published the standard IEC 62493:2015+AMD1:2022 (consolidated version), which is applicable to the assessment of human exposure to electromagnetic radiation from lighting equipment. The assessment includes the induced internal electric field at frequencies between 20kHz and 10MHz and the specific absorption rate (SAR) around the lighting device at frequencies between 100kHz and 300MHz. It is also a standard that must be assessed for compliance with IEC 60598-1:2020.
